Kristin's Event Creation & Catering is an innovative and unique event planning & catering company with over 20 years combined experience. Kristin, our chef has trained with some of Europe's finest chefs, and was awarded the Prix D'Excellence from Cidil France at the 9th Annual Dairy Bureau of Canada Awards held in Jasper, Alberta in 1992.

This award was for the most original and innovative dish in the entire competition. As a student at the time, Kristin competed with top chefs from all over Canada. She has also been featured in Toronto Life Magazine and The Buffalo News.

Kristin has worked in the capacity of executive chef and executive sous chef at some of Niagara's most prestigious hotels and restaurants including The Pillar & Post Inn, The Prince of Wales, The Kiely Inn (now The Charles Inn), and Novotel Hotel in Toronto before she opened her catering company 10 years ago.

Born, raised and schooled in Nova Scotia, Kristin moved to Lake Louise, Alberta in 1992 to pursue her career as a chef after graduating from culinary school. After working at some 4 star properties out West, she moved to the Niagara region in 1993 to become the Executive Sous Chef at the Pillar and Post Inn. From that point onward, Kristin fell in love with the Niagara Region and decided to stay. Since 1993, she has held many Executive Chef positions, but the most rewarding one has been owning and operating Kristin's Event Creation and Catering.

In 1999, Kristin opened her own restaurant at 30 Wellington St. in St. Catharines with rave reviews. After getting married in October 2002, Kristin decided to close the restaurant and take on more catering . In June of 2005, Kristin's Restaurant closed its doors permanently to allow Kristin and her staff to pursue the catering full time. Kristin's Event Creation and Catering is Niagara's leading outdoor wedding specialist.
